What I’m doing at the moment (April 2024)

• Realizing I hadn’t updated this page in five years (!!!)
• Slowly emerging from a fallow period, awaiting the return of Big Writing Energy.
  • You know, so I can finish that second novel I started after I published the first one. 😏

What I’m reading about

• Our Wives Under The Sea, by Julia Armfield — exceptional mystery, wonderful prose. I can’t put it down.
• Braiding Sweetgrass, by Robin Wall Kimmerer — so beautiful and full of hope; I had to put the book down multiple times in the first chapter to write down lines, such as “How can we translate from the stories at the world’s beginning to this hour so much closer to its end?”

Retail therapy

• Built a gaming PC for the first time in *checks records* fifteen years. Damn, they’ve gotten a lot smaller and a lot cooler — both literally and figuratively. 🤓
